There
are some very interesting facts about Bald Eagles. Here are 5 of them:
1. The
Bald Eagle is not really bald. It gets its name because BALD use to mean WHITE
and not hairless.
2. Both female and
male have the same color, a blackish-brown body and a white head; the younger
bald eagles have a mixture of white and brown feathers and a black beak.
3. Their
eyes are almost as large as humans and their sight is 4 times better than the
perfect eyesight.
4. Bald Eagles have an average of 7000 feathers
5. Their beaks and talons are made of keratin, it is the same
substance as human nails
